3 km ‘no-fly zone’ bans UAV in Vizag – Navy

Concerning the recent events with drone sightings in Jammu airport, Eastern Naval Command has issued a no-fly zone over its installations and over a perimeter of 3km. In the event of a violation, drones could be confiscated or destroyed and the violator could be charged by rules of IPC.

Any approval for flying drones could be obtained from the Ministry of Home Affairs, which should be submitted before a week of scheduled flying operation. Approval could be obtained from the Digi Sky Website and a hard copy needs to be submitted to the naval station concerned as well as the headquarters.
