Illegal stock worth 1.27 crore of Sandalwood unearthed in Anantapur.

With reliable information from the forest department Of Andhra Pradesh, the police and the forest personnel conducted a joint operation together. Sandalwood and Sandalwood oil are found in the United Oil Industry located at Basavanapalli village in Amarapuram Mandal. The whole stock is valued at 1.27 crore.

The joint operation is conducted from August 1st and the entire stock of the factory was reviewed which has led to unearthed 3,983 kg of chopped sandalwood pieces for which there is no documentation found as per the records upon further investigation it has been brought to the attention of the police the load was from Kerala and Tamilnadu.

United oil factory which has been in business for the past 25 years is brought to the news with this Discovery and the investigating team is looking into the business carried out in the past to find out for how long such illegal activity was going on. Further investigation is still on the way. As per the present findings, the police have arrested the supervisor of the factory A. Kristen along with 16 liters of sandalwood oil concentrate, the owners of the factory are still absconding.
